About Me

Soham Bhatt

I am a Junior Research Fellow at Gujarat Biotechnology University, specializing in the development of high-throughput drug repurposing pipelines to combat ESKAPE pathogens. My research bridges classical microbiology with advanced computational intelligence, focusing on identifying lead molecules through rigorous virtual screening and genomic analysis. I have successfully implemented end-to-end pipelines involving active site prediction, e-pharmacophore screening, ADMET analysis, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations using tools like GROMACS and the Schrödinger Suite.

Beyond research, I am a developer of scientific tools. I created a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and Google Colab Notebook for UniDock, a GPU-accelerated docking tool, to enhance screening efficiency. My work in the State AMR Surveillance Project further honed my skills in genomic analysis using ribosomal MLST and abricate.

Guided by the value-based leadership principles of the Sri Sathya Sai National Leadership Program, I am committed to open-source innovation and mentoring the next generation of scientists. My goal is to leverage Deep Docking and machine learning to democratize drug discovery, ensuring technical excellence is applied to solve the most pressing global health challenges.
